2007 Florida Corvair Affair

It's a 1964 convertible Corvair specially customized for by race car driver John Fitch. It was called a "Fitch Sprint," a Corvair ready for high performance. The car's two carburetors were doubled to four, a Fitch nameplate went on the fender, and a mesh screen was installed to protect the headlights from flying gravel. The suspension was improved for better handling. Also available were aluminum wheels, custom headrests, extra gauges and a grab bar for the car's passenger side. It also offered modified steering and a "quick shift" shifter.
