new (to me) 66 corvair

I just picked this up. I traded for a 1976 sportster chopper that did not run. the guy said it needed a transmission and  gave me another powerglide . I removed the old trans and noticed the drive rod that transfers power from the front pump to the transaxle had a broken snap ring so no power. home depot heat treated snap ring (.60 $ ) and reassembled and now runs and drives great. not mint but a nice car to tke to local cruise nights anyone else in manchester nh area email me
